The 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Run

The annual St Patrick’s Day Run takes place on Saturday March 14th, 2020, at 9 am prior to the city parade. This is one of the largest events of its kind in the St Louis area, with more than 5,500 participants!

Bag check and changing rooms are at the Ballpark Hilton at Broadway and Market from 8 am – 12 pm. For $5, you can check a bag before the run. More and more people are beginning to do this each year so they can change into fresh clothes immediately following the race.

How Far is The Run?

The St. Patrick’s Day race is a 5 miles course through downtown St. Louis, Missouri. If 5 miles seems like a bit too much, you can always register for the 3K instead! Click here to register now.

Post-Race Party

Join all the runners at the post-race party in the Michelob Ultra, Runners Village in Kiener Plaza to celebrate your accomplishment! The food, drinks and entertainment are scheduled to keep going until 4 pm that day.

The 51st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will take place on Saturday, March 14th 2020 in downtown St. Louis at 12 pm, following the morning run. The parade always takes place, “rain or shine.” It will begin at 20th and Market streets and proceed to its conclusion at Broadway and Clark streets. 

Regularly noted as one of the top in the country, the parade is comprised of over 120 units, including marching bands, floats, etc. Attendance is usually around 250,000 people. This is the largest of any event in downtown St Louis, packing the streets with smiling Irish eyes and festive green attire! 

The Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Immerse yourself into Irish culture by attending this historic parade that originated in 1984. Every St. Patrick’s Day, the Ancient order of Hibernians sponsors a parade in the Dogtown region of St. Louis, celebrating Irish heritage and faith that was brought to America.

The festival will feature a variety of attractions throughout all of Dogtown. There will be food and drinks available up and down Tamm Avenue from a variety of vendors, and a designated family area set up in the eastern portion of Turtle park. The Family area will feature traditional Irish music, face painting, juggling, and Irish dancing!
